Our Library is lovingly curated by Canyon Rim librarian, Mrs. Simkin.

Our Birthday Book Club is a Roadrunner favorite!  This Canyon Rim tradition is our library’s primary source of funding and allows the librarian to purchase new books, as well as update the library’s infrastructure and technology.
As a member of the Birthday Book Club, your child will:
  • Select a brand new, age-appropriate book from the school library and bring it home for 1 week during the month of their birthday. At the end of the week, the book is returned to the library for all students to enjoy for years to come! The librarian will celebrate your child in their class library time by reading the book or portion of the book to the class.
  • Have their name and birthday printed on a permanent label placed in the book for years of recognition.
The Birthday Book Club continues to be a cherished and beneficial program that not only enhances the library for all of our students but also instills a life-long appreciation of libraries, books and reading!

The Little Librarian Program is for 5th and 6th graders and provides them the opportunity to help Mrs. Simkin and work in the library. Sign-ups go out to the classrooms and needs teacher approval.
